What was at stake

A tenant should be able to unlock and tour a home alone, on their schedule, without anyone meeting them there. That means the app has to be right the first time — there's no support agent standing next to them.

The calls I made

  1. Shipped self-guided touring, smart-lock integrations and interactive maps with design and product.
  2. Led major React Native version upgrades without a production incident.
  3. Paid down technical debt: refactored legacy code, modularised components, fixed performance bottlenecks in critical flows.

What outlived it

  • 4.8 on the App Store, 4.7 on Google Play.
  • High release velocity held without sacrificing stability, backed by OTA hotfixes.
  • Rently Business Champ Award, twice in 2024.
